Effective: [Month DD, 20YY] · Last updated: [Month DD, 20YY]

Template notice (remove before publishing): This Privacy Policy is a starting template, not legal advice. Replace every bracketed placeholder, confirm it reflects the information you actually collect (orders, payments, and uploaded design files), and have it reviewed by qualified counsel. As a California business, the CCPA/CPRA and other laws may impose specific obligations.

This Privacy Policy explains how 3d Made For You LLC (“3d Made For You,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you visit 3dmadeforyou.com (the “Site”), request a quote, place a custom order, or buy from us.

01 Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Order & contact details — name, email, phone, and shipping and billing addresses.
  • Payment information — processed securely by our third-party payment processor(s); we do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
  • Project details — the description, quantity, material, and finish you request for a quote or custom order.
  • Uploaded files — any 3D files or images you send for a print (see “Your design files” below).
  • Communications — messages you send us by form, email, or chat.

Collected automatically

  • Usage & device data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring links.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see the Cookies section below.

02 Your design files

When you send us a 3D model or image to print, we use it only to quote and fulfill your order.

  • You keep ownership of the files and designs you provide.
  • We do not sell your files, and we do not reproduce, resell, or publicly share them without your permission.
  • By submitting a file, you confirm you have the right to have it printed and that it does not infringe anyone else's intellectual property.
  • We retain files only as long as needed to complete your order and keep reasonable records, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

03 How we use information

  • Prepare quotes and process, fulfill, and ship your orders.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our services.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Send updates or marketing where you have opted in (you can opt out anytime).
  • Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

04 Cookies & analytics

We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember preferences, measure traffic, and — where applicable — support advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).

05 How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in these limited cases:

  • Service providers — payment processors, shipping carriers, hosting, email, and analytics, used only to provide services to us.
  • Legal & safety — when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

06 Marketplaces

If you buy from us through a third-party marketplace (for example, Etsy or Amazon), your purchase is also subject to that platform's own privacy policy and terms. We receive only the order information the platform provides so we can fulfill and ship your order. Those platforms are independent and are not controlled by us.

07 Data retention

We keep personal information and order records for as long as needed to provide our services, meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which we delete or de-identify it. Uploaded files are handled as described above.

08 Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09 Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link in any email). To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request, respond within the time required by applicable law, and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

10 California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
  • Access and obtain a copy of that information.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, including via recognized opt-out preference signals (GPC).
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

To submit a request, email [privacy@3dmadeforyou.com]. You may use an authorized agent, subject to verification.

11 Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
